The Janiform Institute is an independent research organization dedicated to rigorous, evidence-based inquiry into humanity’s past.
We exist to conduct and support historical and archaeological research while sustaining our work through responsible public engagement. Our model is simple: research first, media second.
Unlike traditional institutions that dependent solely on grants or private benefactors, the Janiform Institute is designed to be self-sustaining. We believe meaningful research should not be constrained by short funding cycles or shifting institutional priorities.

Scholarly Integrity
Research questions are determined by evidence, peer standards, and long-term significance—not by trends or popular demand.
Independence
Financial sustainability through responsible storytelling allows research to remain insulated from external pressure.
Public Stewardship
History belongs to everyone. We are committed to communicating findings accurately and transparently, without sensationalism.
The Institute is currently in its founding phase. Initial efforts are focused on establishing research partnerships, documenting field methodology, and building a long-term model for independent scholarship. Follow along and enjoy the adventure
Our Why
We believe history is full of moments that make us lean forward. When we uncover a burial ground, unearth a city, or find a skeleton taller than expected, headlines may declare that a “giant” was discovered. We get curious. That first spark of curiosity is good. It draws us in. It means we care. But curiosity deserves discipline.
At the Janiform Institute, we believe the evidence tells a better story. Not a louder story. Not a simplified story. A better one. Real archaeology is thrilling not because it exaggerates, but because it reveals. Archaeologists turn fragments into meaning. They show how knowledge is built, revised, and strengthened over time. We don’t compete with myth by shouting it down. We invite people into the deeper story. And the deeper story is always more extraordinary.
